PositiveSingles cost in 2026: website price, app price, and what is free

The two price lists

PositiveSingles publishes two price schedules, and both are official. The lower one appears at the website checkout; the higher one appears in the iOS app and on the public pricing page. The platform's own blog post "Is PositiveSingles free to use" says which one you pay depends on where you subscribe, your location, taxes, and promotions.

The checkout tags the three-month plan "Most popular" and the six-month plan "Best deal". The per-month math above is the platform's own: six months on the website works out to $15.99 a month, about half the single-month rate. That only becomes a saving if you are still using the site in month five, which is why our review recommends one month first.

What a free account can do

According to the platform's FAQ (entries updated August 20, 2026 and July 13, 2026, read September 15, 2026), a free account can create a profile, add up to 26 public and 26 private photos, search by country and state, send free winks, and reply to messages that premium members send. It cannot start a conversation, or continue one, unless the other person has an active premium membership.

In practice, free membership is a viewing pass. You can see who is there and answer anyone with a premium plan who writes to you, but you cannot open a conversation yourself. That is still enough to answer the question that should come before any payment: whether anyone active is within dating distance of you. The Discover menu also listed a "Living with" status search behind the same lock icon the site puts on its other premium features; we did not use it.

What premium adds

Paying unlocks starting conversations, and the FAQ adds that a chat stays open only while at least one person in it has an active premium membership. Premium also adds see who viewed you, see who liked you, and full access to advanced filters.

The checkout we read on September 15, 2026 sold exactly three things: one, three, or six months of the same premium membership. There were no tiers within premium and no separate paid add-ons on that screen. One month at $29.95 is the cheapest way to find out whether the profiles you saw on the free tier write back.

Auto-renewal, the statement name, and cancelling

Every plan renews automatically, and the charge appears on your card statement as SuccessfulMatch, not PositiveSingles. Knowing that name matters twice: once so the renewal does not look like fraud to you, and once so a shared statement does not name the site to anyone else. The checkout accepted credit or debit card, PayPal, and Google Pay.

We did not test cancelling a website subscription for this revision, so the practical advice is blunt: set a calendar reminder the day you subscribe, not the day it renews. For subscriptions bought inside the iOS app, the App Store listing carries Apple's standard terms: manage the subscription in your account settings and cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, or it renews.

Website or app: which is cheaper

The website, on every plan. Comparing the two lists as they stood on September 15, 2026 and September 17, 2026, subscribing at the website checkout rather than through the App Store list saved $4.04 on one month, $10.04 on three, and $14.04 on six.

We did not test whether a subscription bought on the website unlocks premium inside the mobile apps. The platform's blog treats the two schedules as one membership priced by channel, but if the app is where you plan to live, confirm that at the checkout before you choose where to pay.

The referral code on the pricing page

The public pricing page advertised a referral code on September 17, 2026: it promised 7 extra free days on a one-month plan, 15 on three months, and 50 on six. We have not tested it and do not reproduce it here. Codes change and carry conditions, and the pricing page itself is the authoritative place to read the current offer.
